Lisa Suhair Majaj

Lisa Suhair Majaj is a Palestinian-American writer whose poetry and prose has been published across the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East, as well as in India. Her 2009 collection Geographies of Light won the Del Sol Press Poetry Prize, and a second book of poetry is under submission. She has read her work internationally, and her poems have also been used in other kinds of venues, ranging from art exhibits to political protests to tattoos. She lives in Nicosia, Cyprus, 262 miles away from Gaza.
